Finding the right laptop for you
Overview on HP 14 stream V Dell Inspiron 15 3000
Are you looking to start a online business, what will you need ? the first thing would be a laptop and why a laptop simply if you are going away it can go along with you and no matter where your travelling to, so long as you have internet access you can work. However if all you have is a desktop that is fine just means you have a stationery work place.
I am a fan of HP I think the offer good value for money this particular model and they have been around for sometime so have so trust in them my other choice would be a Del had one for over 5 years it found it to be very robust so lets compare the two.
HP Stream 14-ax000na 14-inch HD Laptop (Intel Celeron N3060, 4GB RAM, 32GB eMMC, 1TB OneDrive, Included, Intel HD Graphics, Windows 10)
As you can see it has windows 10 my old Del was windows 8 however it did take the upgrade and took me a bit of time to work it out was not sure I liked it to start with.
This model comes in a 11.6 inch screen or a 14 inch version I have the bigger one as I do like a bigger screen, this is a sturdy laptop and not too heavy to take along with you, size or screen comes down to personal preference, has good storage capacity and find the processor quick enough for what I need it for. So what do you get for your money and is it suitable for your needs !
- Ideal for basic computing whether at home or on the go, enjoy web browsing, social media, chatting, video calling, use office apps, emails and download apps watching DVD’s

- The enhanced wireless technology; the improved 802.11 ac 2 x 2 Wi-Fi antenna delivers a stronger, more reliable internet connection than before for buffer-free streaming, blazing-fast downloads and smooth web surfing and fast connections depends on the broadband speed of where you are using it

I do like this laptop and the fact you can choose other colours as well, thought it was excellent value for the money and I am very happy with it however if you are a very experience user and understand all the technical know how this might not be advanced enough for you.
Lets take a look at DEL in roughly the same price range, remember always shop around try and work out what you need before your purchase your laptop, do you homework check out what people think this can be quite useful and it is worth looking at customer feed back as often you see what are the flaws that stick out.
Dell Inspiron 15 3000 15.6″ Laptop (Intel Pentium, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Windows 10) – 2017, Matte Black
Though the price is fairly respectable I do feel that you can do much better with the money, Del was much slower than my HP and found it frustrating, again it does depend on what you want your laptop for and how often you use it, mine is used everyday for work.
Some of the features :
- Lightweight 15inch screen easy to take around on your travels
- Features an Intel Pentium processor
- Sound by Waves MaxxAudio Pro
- Good battery life
- Has a built in camera
- Ideal for home use

When you look at the technical information there is very little that separate them in terms of what you get, interestingly the processor speed is supposed to be the same yet HP is faster and the battery holds power for two hours more than Del. HP is also a bit lighter and slimmer and I do like the fact you can have a variety of colours other than just black.
If you are looking for a starter laptop either of these would fit the bill, much of it will come down to personal choice, if I was to go back to having a Dell I would probably choose the DELL XPS 13 9360 it is quite pricey but a great laptop.
This a top end laptop and if you are not too bothered about fancy new features that the MacBook Pro touch panel then this is certainly worth considering, very practical laptop screen is on the small side 13 inch but great for carrying around. For more information use the link below.
