How are you doing with your New Year Resolution?

How many people make New Year resolutions only for them to fall by the way side before the end of the month.

So what can you do to keep yourself on track, did you write your goals down ? where they realistic and how badly do you want to reach them.

Have you taken action yet or are the dreams and goals you seek still locked away in your mind, no matter what we think or read about nothing will happen till you take action, so if you took action well done your on your way.

Do you want to get a new job if so have you updated and improved your c.v or even looked, there is nothing worse than being stuck in a job you do not like. but we all know that cannot change unless you do something about it.

Do you want to create and extra income or build an online business ,this requires you to invest time and some money are you willing to do this,  opportunities are all around us however they will not fall into our laps unless we seek them.

We all have dreams and desires for change in our life from losing weight to achieving financial freedom or it could be as simple as painting the front room.

Getting anything done requires action, I am as guilty as a lot of people in the art of procrastination and at times try and justify why I have not done something, even working on a post of ten minutes is progress

So how can we over come this inability to take actions, whilst we may not all make a New Year resolution the fact is we do make them at some point in our life’s. What steps can we take to keep moving forward.

  • Set our clear goals, short term and long term and write them down
  • Have a daily schedule, make tasks time sensitive
  • Take time to add to your skill set
  • Take some pressure off do not tell everyone your plans
  • Have positive people around you
  • Make time for some good reading, make it relevant to the goals you have set out
  • Look after your health
  • A vision board is great look at it each day see what your aiming for and how well your doing so far
  • Remind yourself why you are doing this
  • Meditate even if it is only 15 mins per day



We all set out with good intentions at the start of a new year it is keeping the momentum going, being with like minded people is a great bonus, seek them out join some new groups is a great place to find motivation with others who share the same interests or share your passion for something, it is also a safe way to get going.growing your business


I am not the greatest reader however one of the books I have read more than once is 7 Habits of Highly effective people, this book has been around for about 15 years and is a best seller for very good reason, it steps away from the conventional, he uses principles based on  fairness, honesty, integrity and the dignity of mankind.

When he covers habit one it focuses on being proactive very apt for me since there are days I struggle to get anything done, he did add to this book later as over the many years he received many questions, there have also been books just focused on one particular habit, he is a well respected author and has helped many over the years.

How does this tie in with your resolutions simple it is often our habits that prevent us growing or achieving the outcomes we want or need, life is about the journey and the choices we make, good choices bring blessings and poor one’s bring the consequences, understanding ourselves and educating ourselves helps us to be better every day, (just my thoughts on the matter)

Even if we make mistakes we are just learning and so long as we do and keep going we can expect to achieve those goals, not everyone can do this by themselves and I have needed help along the way however there is an abundance of resources out there and others who have walked the path showing us tried and tested ways.

Why not get started today or renew your convictions, may success meet you on your journey now matter how long it is or how rocky the road may seem.
